Premature Babies: The Risks

Premature babies are at the greatest risk of developing serious medical conditions like neurological problems, developmental delays as well as seizures to name a few.

In addition to the physical problems there are also a number of psychological issues that can occur. A premature baby that has not fully developed its nervous system can also encounter brain dysfunctions such as twitching, troubles focusing or troubles calming down. Giving birth to and caring for a premature baby can be a difficult experience so don’t be afraid to seek help from family, friends, support groups, and medical staff.
